The Collio area, situated in the north-east of Italy, stretches along the Slovenian border and is limited by the rivers Judrio to the east and Isonzo to the south.  The picturesque hills in northern Gorizia are looking back on a long history of dedication to high-quality wine growing.

Influences from the most important European cultures are adding up to a region representing both historical tradition and culinary delight.

The mild and temperate climate is ideally designed for wine growing, the Julian Prealps protecting the area from harsh winds from the north. The Adriatic contributes in limiting day-night temperature fluctuations. The soils are rich in layers of marl and sandstone. All these supportive climatic conditions make the Collio wines characteristic and unique.
